Preserving Open Space and our History

As your State Representative, I personally advocate for open space applications made to the commonwealth of Pennsylvania by municipalities in the 152nd District. As a Commissioner in Upper Moreland Township, I permanently preserved over 100 acres of new Open Space for the community. I know that permanently protected open space contributes to the quality of life in our communities and serves to address over-development and increased traffic congestion in our neighborhoods.
I also spear headed the Willow Grove historical trail project. I will further this work by sitting down with township officials and Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust (PERT) to establish a walking and fitness trail along the currently out-of-use rail line through Lower Moreland and Bryn Athyn.

As a founder and member of the Upper Moreland Historical Association I strongly believe in the protection of our historical resources, heritage, and folklore. As your State Representative, I am working to safeguard historical resources throughout the district and across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I am bringing Commonwealth grants to our district to assist in the preservation of local historical resources and sites.
